Toki Air Takes Delivery of its First ATR 72-600

Japanese Toki Air took delivery of its first aircraft, an ATR 72-600 that it leased from Nordic Aviation Capital, becoming the new ATR 72 operator. This is the first of two turboprops that will fly with the Japan-based airline when it starts operations in 2023. The ATR 72-600 (JA10QQ) has been leased for 10 years by Toki Air and will initiate operations next year with the Japanese carrier.

Masaki Hasegawa, Toki Air representative director, commented: “This first aircraft higher will allow us to serve our purpose by providing a responsible and reliable air connection to the communities of the Niigata Prefecture and surrounding regions. We look forward to seeing Toki flying in the skies of Japan.”
Still, according to the airline, “In countries committed to reducing carbon dioxide emissions and preserving biodiversity, such as Japan, ATR aircraft have proven successful: they connect communities and businesses across the archipelago in the most responsible way.” Concludes the carrier.

Toki Air has become the fourth ATR operator in Japan, following Amakusa Airlines, Japan Airlines, Japan Air Commuter, and Hokkaido Air System.
