Three days into the Paris Air Show 2025, and the storyline is becoming clearer by the hour: Airbus is dominating. From freighters and widebodies to regional jets and new customer wins, the European manufacturer has swept the order board.
Day 1: A Bold Start for Airbus
The first day of PAS 2025 set the tone for the event. Airbus came out strong with multiple orders across its product line:
Order #1: AviLease orders A350F Freighters and A320neo Family aircraft
AviLease placed a large order that includes 10 A350F freighters and 30 A320neo family aircraft. The deal has options to expand significantly and underscores Saudi Arabia’s growing investment in aviation.
Order #2: Riyadh Air confirms order for 25 A350-1000 aircraft
The new Saudi carrier solidified its widebody fleet with a substantial Airbus A350-1000 order. With future growth potential built into the deal, Riyadh Air is aiming high as it aligns with the Kingdom’s Vision 2030.
Order #3: ANA Holdings finalizes order for 27 A321neo and A321XLR aircraft
This included aircraft for both All Nippon Airways and its low-cost arm, Peach Aviation, strengthening ANA’s single-aisle fleet with longer-range options.
Order #4: LOT Polish Airlines places first-ever Airbus order for 40 A220s
A significant win for Airbus, with LOT switching from its long-standing partnership with Boeing. The deal includes A220-100s and A220-300s, supporting LOT’s regional and hub growth strategy.
Day 2: A Steady Flow of Orders and Commitments
Day 2 saw the tempo slow slightly, but Airbus still held the upper hand with more key orders:
France & Spain renew Airbus A400M commitment
While not a commercial deal, this renewed Letter of Intent from France and Spain secures further deliveries and development for the A400M military transport program.
VietJet orders 100 A321neo aircraft
One of the largest single orders so far, VietJet reaffirmed its Airbus loyalty with a new deal for 100 A321neos, with options for 50 more. The airline continues its rapid expansion across Asia with a fully Airbus fleet.
Day 3: Airbus Continues to Outpace, Embraer Gains Ground
Day 3 opened with more Airbus momentum and saw Embraer step forward with key freighter and regional jet orders:
Order #1: MNG Airlines orders two A350F Freighters
Türkiye’s MNG Airlines signed an MoU for two A350 Freighters. The deal enhances its global cargo reach across Europe, Asia, the Middle East, and North America.
Order #2: EGYPTAIR adds 6 more A350-900s
Bringing its total A350 order to 16, EGYPTAIR reinforced its strategy to modernize its fleet for greater efficiency and passenger comfort.
Order #3: Embraer expands deals with Regional One and SkyWest
Regional One doubled its order of E190 P2F (Passenger-to-Freighter) conversions to four aircraft.
SkyWest Airlines confirmed a new order for 60 E175s, cementing its position as the world’s largest E-Jet operator.
Order #4: Bridges Air Cargo named launch customer for Embraer E190F
A key milestone for Embraer, the E190F program officially begins its operational journey with Bridges Air Cargo, just weeks after certification.
Order #5: STARLUX orders 10 more A350-1000s
Taiwan’s STARLUX Airlines announced it would take 10 additional A350-1000s. With this move, the carrier continues its strategic growth and builds one of the most modern widebody fleets in Asia.
