KLM received its first Embraer E195-E2

The Dutch airline KLM received its first Embraer E195-E2, PH-NXA, yesterday, February 25th, at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, in the Netherlands.
The aircraft was received with a welcoming ceremony by KLM and Schiphol Airport, being the first jet of KLM's E2 family.

The new Embraer E195-E2 must undergo an adaptation for KLM's fleet, with training for crew members, which is common when a new aircraft model is introduced to an airline's fleet. The E2 will be introduced to KLM's regional subsidiary, KLM Cityhopper, operating on regional routes.
The aircraft has 132 seats, 20 of which are business class and 8 are economy class, in addition to 104 economy class seats.

The Embraer E195-E2 is the 50th E-Jet to join KLM Cityhopper's fleet of 17 first-generation E175 and 32 E190 jets. The total order of 35 jets, 25 firm orders with an option for 10 additional, will be made available to KLM by ICBC Aviation Leasing (10) and Aircastle (15). KLM recently exercised options for four additional aircraft, thereby expanding the firm order from 21 to 25 jets, with the additional aircraft coming from Aircastle's order book.
The E2's environmental credentials are impressive: it offers a 31 percent reduction in carbon emissions per seat compared to the company's first-generation E190 jets.
